In the artistic old part of Perth lies the king of the hipster suburbs. Boasting pubs, cafes, restaurants, a theatre and a pretty good nightlife, Mt Lawley is eclectic, interesting and a dappled scarf wrapped around a soy latte. Welcome to our first suburb of the season. Mt Lawley.
Set in the old newspaper house there is a lot of history to this gorgeous old building on St Georges Terrace in the Perth CBD. For the last 2 years it has been home to a 5 venue dining and bar precinct. We visited the main bar and can recommend it for a drink or for lunch; be it a quick bite to eat or a long, lazy bite laced with wine….
One of our favourite spots for breakfast is The Naked Fig in Swanbourne. Delicious and interesting food, cocktails, juices, smoothies and a colourful art filled café all against the backdrop of the Indian Ocean. Heaven on a lazy Sunday morning.
There is a new bar on the Perth scene that is seeing people queue up to revel in its novelty. The cocktails are flowing as patrons head to Scarborough for a night out in a pastel paradise! Our first bar of the season is Matisse Beach Club.
