Each year in the October school holidays, The AWESOME Festival presents a spectacular array of theatre, dance, early childhood activities, music, film and hands-on activities in the Perth Cultural Centre.
The 2015 AWESOME International Arts Festival for Bright Young Things will return to the Perth Cultural Centre to inspire and delight Perth children aged 0 – 12 and their families.

Food, markets and family entertainment. The very first Perth Basant Festival takes place on the grounds of Curtin Uni on the 17th October between 11am and 5pm. Presented by Smarter than Smoking and So Change, the not for profit, multicultural festival includes stalls about arts, culture, food, crafts and markets and also includes workshops, concerts, presentations, fashion, food and produce. Celebrating diversity and the huge melting pot of the community.

Elmars in the Valley- Swan Valley
10 , 24 and 25 October 2015
Oktoberfest at Elmar’s in the Valley is an annual celebration of the finest German beer, traditional German cuisine and rich German culture in the Swan Valley’s largest beer garden.
This popular food and beer festival is run over 3 days. The first two events (Saturday 10th, Saturday 24th) are adults only, however Sunday 25th of October is family day.
The events on Saturday 10th and Saturday 24th October feature an actioon packed program of games including stein holding, bratwurst eating and tug-o-war. Another feature of the festival is the opportunity to indulge in Elmar’s traditional ‘Märzen Oktoberfest Bier,’ which has been conditioning since March and will be released just in time for Oktoberfest 2015. Beaufort Street Mt Lawley

A magnificent medley of decadence and delight is set to pop-up on Beaufort Street this October, as BeauVine, Perth’s new meat, wine, music and art festival comes to life.
BeauVine brings together popular Perth eateries and wineries, well-respected chefs and sommeliers in one of Perth’s most beautiful green spaces set to art for the eyes and music for the ears.

Since 2008, the Swan Festival of Lights has been setting the Perth foreshore alight with a multitude of colours, rhythms and flavours. The smoke and alcohol-free event organised by the non-profit organisations The Temple of Fine Arts and Annalakshmi Cultural Centre of WA uses the unifying theme of ‘light’ to bring together and celebrate Western Australia’s cultural diversity through dance, music and cuisine.
